So I will be honest and say I was quite skeptical of this product because of the price. I decided to take a leap and buy one. What kind of bugs does InsecTrap catch?
InsecTrap is designed for mosquitos, and may also trap small moths, fruit flies, and gnats.
How is it powered?
InsecTrap is powered by a standard USB power cord, which is attached to the device. Electrical outlet adapter is not included.
Where can I use InsecTrap?
There is no zapper or chemicals in InsecTrap, so it is safe for use around children or animals. Place InsecTrap in your home, office, patio, or anywhere you notice mosquitos gather. Avoid leaving InsecTrap outside where it can be exposed to water for extended periods of time.
How does it work?
InsecTrap uses UV light waves to attract insects, and are then pulled into the trap by the vortex technology. This vortex dehydrates the insects once they become stuck in the trap, ultimately killing them. InsecTrap works best with low or no lighting.
How do I clean it?
InsecTrap separates into two pieces. Twist to remove the top from the bottom. Remove the tray from the lower piece, where the insects are trapped. Discard the tray contents. If needed, you can rinse the tray with soap and water. Dry completely before returning the tray to the device. Wait at least 24 hours after turning InsecTrap off to remove the tray to ensure insects have been killed.
